Constantly moving

Things are never stagnant at the Brigham Library. The need for more space for more books means a constant shifting to make things fit. We received grant money to buy more Spanish language materials but we had no room for them. That meant making room somewhere. We initially moved the telephone books and oversized books from the shelves next to the elevator upstairs to make room for Spanish materials. We decided, however, that we'd like the Spanish books somewhere they got more attention. We were able to move the Spanish videos to another wall and put in higher shelving in the existing Spanish materials section on the main floor.

That left the upstairs shelves sitting empty - what a dilemma - every area upstairs needs more room, but what would work with the flow so patrons would know where to look? We finally decided that the LDS non-fiction would be a good fit with a little room left for oversized books. So, if you are looking for the LDS non-fiction, you'll find that it has moved from the back north wall upstairs to the west wall next to the elevator. We hope this makes more room for those books and the other circulating collection.

Susan
