Like many of you, I'm excited to read the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series.
But there will probably not be as many who will agree with me when I say that I am also glad that that book seven should be the end of the series. I'm not saying this because the series takes up too much

shelf space, even though it does take a lot, but because I like to see a series end before I tire of the characters. I've really enjoyed the characters in Rowling's series, she's allowed her readers to get quite close to most of the characters as the series has progressed and they start to become good friends. It's hard to choose a favorite. I love scenes with Ron, Hagrid, Hermione, Professor McGonagall, Professor Trelawney, Professor Lupin, Nymphadora Tonks, Dumbledore, Voldemort, and the list could go on. But if pressed, I would

have to say my favorite character for the entire series is Severus Snape. I always look forward to the next scene with Snape more than any other. Okay, okay so a lot of people think he's a bad guy, but I'm convinced otherwise. The fact that I frequently end up liking the villains in books and movies should not be a strike against my opinion either. I usually like the character,

despite the fact that they are the bad guy or because they make such great villains. In the case of Severus Snape, I like him because of his ability to appear to many as the villain, while in truth (according to me) he's a good guy. I'm convinced that he and Dumbledore had arrangement made for an event like what took place on the tower and that Snape new full well that Harry was on that tower under his invisibility cloak, yet he did not inform his "fellow" Death Eaters. I

believe that it was Snape that actually silently released Harry from that freezing charm on the tower. If I'm wrong, we'll I guess I'll just have to start liking Snape despite the fact that he's a villain, but I don't think I'll have to worry about that. We'll see.
Tell us about your favorite character and what you think of Severus Snape or another debated topic in the Harry Potter series. Common on; risk voicing your opinion. The worst thing that could happen is you might be wrong, but on the other hand, you might be right!
