What Is Your Favorite Book in the HP Series, and why?

Everyone is always looking for something different when they are reading a book. Frequently we are looking for something different every time we read a book. That's why I always have a stack of at least ten books that I'm always reading at the same time. I like to pick up the type of story I feel like at the moment. I realize that some day I may have to stop this practice or at least ease back a bit, but for now I have no problem keeping them all straight so tonight it might be the one on top of the stack and tomorrow the one in the middle. Sometimes when I find an author I like I go through a phase where I'll push everything else aside and just read through their books. That was the case when I finally got around to reading the Harry Potter Series. I wasn't going to read them at all and then I finally decided to give them a try. This was right before Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire came out. I read the first three in the months before the release of the fourth and had a lot of fun with them. I'm a long time fan of orphan-type tales and these were some fun ones. But by the time Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire came out I was ready for a step up in the action and the end gave me the increased action I'd been longing for. I'm referring particularly to the scene in the graveyard with Voldemort and his Death Eaters; it was great. I loved the fourth book more than any of the others before it and I've enjoyed it more than any of the other since as well. The action in book four seemed to go just the tiniest bit beyond the content of most children's stories with the details of the events in the graveyard and the action in books five and six seemed to keep the action at more of a children's level once again. Perhaps it should, since it is a children's book, but I am an adult reader and do find it more satisfying to my reading tastes when the action is a elevated a little bit more. As a side note, I have to admit I loved reading about Hagrid's little romance in the fourth book as well. Those scenes were absolutely delightful. I do have great hopes for the action in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and I hope it equals or surpasses that of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
