Vegetarian Cookbooks
I was having trouble getting inspiration for something to write today until I was out in the garden picking tomatoes, squash, peppers and cucumbers. It seems everyone has an abundance of the same produce now and its common to see those same vegetables sitting on our break table waiting to be taken home. I never thought much of completely vegetarian meals, but I tried a few recipes out of Better Homes and Gardens Vegetarian Recipes and was pleasantly surprised.
We have several vegetarian cookbooks that might help you think of some unique ways to use up those vegetables in your garden when the neighbor doesn't want anymore. A few titles are: Fresh from the farmers market; Vegetarian times complete cookbook; Preserving Summer's bounty; Weight Watcher's versatile vegetarian; The bold vegetarian; Cook 1.0; Meatless meals for working people; 101 ways to juice it; The herbal kitchen. Of course, you can always try a quick search of the internet, http://allrecipes.com/ is a good place to start.
If you've got a great recipe for those vegetables from the garden, we'd love to have you share the recipe with us here.
