Believe it or not Connie and I attended a Summer Reading Workshop on Thursday, October 25th! The memory of last summer has hardly begun to fade and yet we are planning for next year already. The theme for the 2008 Reading Program is

Training included information presented by Patti Sinclair a former children's librarian from Madison, WI. Patti is the editor of the Co-operative Summer Library Program manual. Also presenting was RoseMary Honnold, Young Adult Services Librarian from the Coshocton Public Library in Coshocton, OH. Catch the Reading Bug @ your Library. The teen theme is called Metamorphasis.We learned everything from how to make a ladybug hat to how to apply henna tattoos. We hope to be able to incorporate some of these fun ideas into next year's summer activities. See you then!
