We caught the Reading BUG!

Today was the final day for Read-at-Home Summer Reading Registration and we have broken all previous records for numbers of particpating children. We have 651 total registered participants, with 114 Teens and 537 kids under 12. That number blows past last years record breaking summer which was 613.

Kids have the opportunity to win weekly prizes this year which seems to have kept them interested and visiting often. In July we are also playing Catch the Reading Bug Hide-and-Seek in the library. Children who visit can look for one of the four plastic bug toys that are hidden in the library daily. If they find one, they bring it to the circulation desk for a prize.
Thanks to all the parents who bring their kids to the library so they can participate! We couldn't do summer reading without you.

Michele :)
