State of the art travel guides

It is always a daunting task to keep up with new travel books. With a limited budget, the library can only afford so many guidebooks at a time and it seems they are out of date before there is time to cycle around again. More and more people are using the Internet for their travel information because it is so current. Now Frommer's Travel Guides are working to make their books available for download on iPhones and the iPod Touch. The first cities available will be New York, San Francisco, London and Paris for the bargain price of $9.99. The books themselves cost twice as much. Once the books are loaded, you can browse without an Internet connection. The format offers interactive maps, Web and phone links through the touchscreen interface. If you want to see a demo of the application, visit http://www.frommers.com/go/mobile/

In an attempt to supplement our travel books, we have acquired the Global Warrior which you can access from our website. This is a free database which can be accessed by simply putting in our user name: patron and password: bc84302 From this site you can learn about 175 countries, their histories, climate, culture, travel information and many other facts that are also good for school reports.
