Christmas Gifts; Part 2

Books that make Great Gifts for Christmas

Susan asked me yesterday to recommend some titles that I think would make great Christmas gifts for kids. She is thinking of titles she can buy for her grand kids, so here are some of my favorites.
Classics that every kids should know include: A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, The Polar Express, and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Read aloud titles for young children include: Olivia helps with Christmas, Merry Christmas Big Hungry Bear, Dream Snow(which has a fun sound effect at the end) and Gingerbread Mouse.

Boys & Girls age 6-11 might like titles like: Spot 7 Christmas Seek & Find, Can you see what I see? The night before Christmas Picture Puzzles to Solve, Walt Disney's Christmas Parade (a graphic novel), Where's Prancer?, How Santa Really Works, Santa Claus The Worlds Number One Toy Expert.

Books that focus on the reason for the season include: There was no Snow on Christmas Eve, One Night in a Stable, Room for a Little One: A Christmas Tale.

Great for the entire family are pop up books by Robert Sabuda which include: The 12 Days of Christmas and The Christmas Alphabet. Because these are intricate and delicate they are best enjoyed with an adult.

And last but not least, my personal favorite title for Christmas, Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree.

Enjoy! And have a happy holiday season. (Susan, I hope this list helps!)
