Happy Thanksgiving!

It is Thanksgiving Eve at 6:45 pm - there are no patrons in the library - ah! I hear the door now - someone is actually coming in! Let's see how long she stays and who else makes it in this evening. Everyone must be home cooking and cleaning house. Could it possibly be quieter than a night shift on Halloween? We'll see. Oh No! I'm listening to Christmas music on FM100 - am I really ready for this?

When I drove to work this evening, I saw quite a few houses that are all decked out for Christmas with lots of lights already. I see the lights are on the little Christmas houses in the court yard also. What do you think about the county clock chiming Christmas carols now? I think it's rather charming - like a little town straight out of a Hallmark movie.

7pm - Five more people in the library - two moms, two kids, and an Internet user.
7:30 - One student, a returned book at the desk, books dropped down the book drop, a phone call. 7:45 - Two very brief Internet users - a phone call "are we open for another hour?, she'll be right in". 8:00 - a mom and teenager, two Internet users. 8:30 Mom and teenager still here, new Internet user. UGH!!! how slow can time go! 8:40 - one Internet user and us. 8:50 Absolutely no one here - time to start closing up shop. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Susan
