Nothing is written in stone yet, but my desk is coming downstairs tomorrow - so that much is moving ahead with pending construction plans. They've told us that they'll be moving the books from upstairs next week, but we don't know yet how that is going to work. They may hire a company to move them or the librarians may be doing a big part to get them packed and in order for their trip over to the Dance Academy. We had hoped to put some of the books on the 4 shelving units we'll have stored over there and the rest in boxes so we can get to them. The moving man I talked to today, didn't have any idea that's what we wanted. He thought we only wanted them boxed for storage. Who knows what is going to happen now. The staff definitely wants the books available so we can get to them for our patrons.
Life at the library is going to get exciting soon! Watch for it!
