We have a winner!

It's time to announce the winners in our "How Many Books" contest, but first I just have to say -  you guys are really good at this game.  We had a whole bunch of great guesses and  as I was sorting through the answers I was getting nervous because of the number of people who guessed 700 books - that was awfully close to the right number.

I'd already found two other entries that were closer to the right number than 700, but what if no one else guessed closer than 700 - how would we work the prizes? We had only planned three after all and only a handful of guess remained.

But then I unfolded the perfect number.  It was exact. This instantly uncomplicated things so I held the creased paper up and announce to others working around me, "We have a winner!"

There were only a few entries left to unfold at that point and none of the others were close enough to compete for the prize.  So it was settled.  We had our winners.

1st Place:  Rebecca Torres (703 books - The exact count!)
2nd Place:  Emily Cannon (702 books)
3rd Place: Tim Russon (705 books)

We also had a few entries that were fun and we wanted to share.  We wished we had prizes for them too because they were cute and creative.

First there was the entry:  700,820 books (by a young person).

Then:  707 1/2

Thank you all for participating.  We hope you had as much fun as we did. And if you're one of the winners you can expect a call from us sometime soon!

Congratulations to our winners!
