Storytime Review

The children in our Story Time classes enjoyed hearing stories about witches this week, including The Little Green Witch by Barbara McGrath, Brooms are for Flying by Michael Rex, What's in the Witches Kitchen by Rick Sharratt, Excuse me...Are you a witch? by Emily Horn, and The Witch's Walking Stick by Susan Meddaugh.

We played a fun halloween pictures guessing game and sang "Go away scary witch" to the tune of "She'll be comin round the mountain". Additional verses included, spooky ghost, creepy spider, black cat, and Big Green Monster.

For the craft this week we made witch paper dolls which included a full witch outfit. Witch hat, dress, hair and boots completed the paperdolls. Of course, we colored the witches skin green!

Next week: Halloween Stories and the children will wear their halloween costumes to class.
