It's official, we have an opening for the Page position. This opened today and will close for all applicants on June 22. You must apply at Job Service 1050 Medical Drive in Brigham City. We hope to do interviews soon after that date and have someone hired the first part of July. This job is a year-round job and not just seasonal for the summer.
The Page is the person at the library who puts away all those books that you bring back to the library. They are responsible for shelving three carts of books each day and they are the ones who pick up the clutter and straighten the library. Our library looks nice because of them and we couldn't function without our Pages.
Pages work 11 hours per week. We have two Pages who must work very independently but also be there for one another. Should a Page want to take time off, then the other Page would have to work those hours. The Page position also requires working Saturdays on a rotational basis (one week you work Saturday, the next week you'd work Friday).
Being a Page isn't easy work, it requires pushing that heavy cart of books, carrying stacks of books, reaching very high and very low, and pushing books straight on the shelf many times a day. It would help you get in great shape! You also have to be someone who pays attention to detail and likes to organize so you put things in the correct order on the shelves. If you are interested, we'll have the actual job description posted on our website tomorrow, visit the library, or see job service.
