Gardening in the Rocky Mountains

It's the season when we all start to think about the garden. Many of us started months ago and already have lettuces and other spring vegetables growing. Along with the gardening classes the library has sponsored, we also have a lot of interesting, helpful books . A few I've pulled to display during this Thursday's gardening class, have to do with gardening in a dry climate. Its hard to concede that we do live in a desert and spend more money on watering our yards than almost any other state.
Some of the titles that might interest those of you trying to be water
conscious are:

Month by Month Gardening in the Rocky Mountains
Rocky Mountain Garden Survival Guide
Native Plants for High-Elevation Western Gardens
Plants for Dry Climates
Landscape for Dry Regions
Gaia's Garden
Xeriscape Plant Guide
Gardening in Dry Climates
The Desert shall Blossom
