Atonement

There's always a new movie coming out and frequently it's based on a book. In most cases I like the books better, but not always. Sometimes someone will totally blow me away with their movie. I received an e-mail today about a new movie coming out later this year. I followed the link to the trailer and it looked like a very interesting story. As I watched, it dawned on me - I knew this title. I had purchased a copy from the Friends of the Library booksale a few years ago and it was still sitting, unread, on my bookshelf. So now I've bumped it up the priority list a bit. The preview was for the movie Atonement and the book, by the same title was written by Ian McEwan. Keira Knightly and James McAvoy star in the film which is scheduled for a limited U.S. release this December.
