Prehistory Open House

Throw a spear using an atlatl, grind corn using stone tools, and tour the State Archaeology Laboratory at the annual Prehistory Open House on May 3. This free event hosted by Utah State History offers crafts for children; demonstrations of cord-making, flint-knapping, and other prehistoric skills; an art show; and the opportunity to learn about Utah's fascinating history.

The open house runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Rio Grande Depot, 300 S. Rio Grande Street, Salt Lake City. For more information see http://history.utah.gov/
