Friends of the Library Book Sales

Prices seem to be going up everywhere these days and the library, unfortunately, is no exception. After more than 20 years with no change in the prices for our Friends Book sales, we're raising the prices starting June 2, 2008. Today will be the last chance to get a bargain from our on-going book sale rack. Monday, the prices will be 25 cents for our magazines, $1.00 for a paperback and $2.50 for a hardback. We will negotiate pricing on damaged books. Some books may have a special price if they are in exceptionally good condition or were very costly to begin with.

Our sale will still be a bargain as many times the magazines donated to us are brand new and would cost up to $5 at the store. Some of the travel books cost up to $30 new and you can get one that has been withdrawn, that is only a couple of years old, for $1! That's a great buy! We also have many best selling authors and titles in hardback that are very recent publications. So, we hope people will continue to enjoy our continuing sale and look forward to our larger book sale in August. We have two closets just packed with books already; it should be a great sale.
