From My Point of View - eAudiobook Review

Sweeney Todd and the String of Pearls by Yuri Rasovski is one of the eAudios available from NetLibrary. I listened to it a while ago and it was really kind of a fun one. It's done as a melodrama and it's just like listening to an old radio program.

Most of you probably know the basic storyline of anything having to do with Sweeney Todd, but for those who may not, I'll give a brief summary.

Sweeney Todd is a barber in London with his shop on Fleet Street. In Rasovski's melodrama, he laughs whenever he mentions that he's about to "polish off" one of his customers. Mrs. Lovett is the owner of her own business nearby - selling meat pies. Locals say that she makes some of the best meat pies. Neither of their businesses seem to have anything to do with the other person, but that's before you find out about the chute going from the Sweeney Todd's rotating barber's chair to the underground chambers that connect Todd's shop to Mrs. Lovett's baking area.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys any of the other Sweeney Todds out there. It's pretty fun and it only takes about two and a half hours to listen to.
