Summer Reading in January

Get Ready to Make a Splash at the Library!

It's snowing outside and I am in the beginning stages of planning our Summer reading program for 2010. This year the National Collaborative Summer Library theme is "Make a Splash...READ!" for kids, "Make Waves at your Library" for teens and new this year is an adult theme, "Water Your Mind...READ". Although I don't think we have any plans to incorporate the adult summer reading this year.

I am hoping that construction will be finished in time to have at least a few weeks of summer story time, but at this point who knows how the schedule is going. We will have our Read-at-Home program no matter what, so I am buying prizes and booksand T-shirts. So, get ready for summer fun, but keep your coat handy because we still have lots of cold weather ahead.
