Science Experiment Sites

Just in time for Halloween if you want to be the mad scientist... here are some sites that will help you find some fun science projects. The one that will be the most helpful for Halloween is http://yucky.discovery.com/noflash/ which promotes itself as the Yuckiest site on the Internet. You can find Yucky fun and games here with tons of creepy crafts (Fang you very much, Shrunken heads, Cheesy apparition, etc.); revolting recipes (bug blood, squid sandwich, moldy green brain surgery salad) ; and icky experiments (Vampire soap, fungus among us, It's alive!)

Other sites that have fun science but maybe not so much into Halloween are:

http://www.acs.org/kids which is the American Chemical Society's Science for Kids site. They have experiments, games, articles, and puzzles which explore everyday science.

http://www.sciencekids.co.nz/ Science kids from New Zealand offers games, experiments fun facts, student-designed movies and more.

http://www.wonderville.ca/v1/home.html Wonderville, sponsored by the Science Alberta Foundation, is an interactive site with games, activities, and quick facts. This one looks like lots of fun and its noisy!
